Young Ghanaian singer and teenager, Naja real name Henrietta Nana Adjoa Marforwaa has announced the date for the release of her new single dubbed “WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE”.
The “Odo Pa” singer in an interview with djashmen.com when asked why she chooses to name her song Woman Of Substance? She said “A *WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE* is a woman of power, a woman of positive influence and a woman of meaning. To be branded a woman of substance is one of the greatest compliments one can give a woman that wants to be an “influential” female and how strong a woman must be not to sell herself out”.
She said the song will be released on 8 July, 2022 Friday on all musical stores.
In 2020, Naja participated in Joy Prime’s Studio Music Competition; a show that began with 20 contestants who battled each other to win one of the 10 final slots. Naja together with Gudboi, Legend, Okesie and Quame Sicker were the finalists from Group A and later crowned winner of the 2020 maiden edition of Joy Prime Studio Music Competition at the age of 15 with an impressive score from the judges of the night, dancehall sensation Stonebwoy, and seasoned music producer, Dominic Ansa-Asare alongside the public votes.
Naja Hails from Sunyani in the Bono Region Of Ghana and loves to do all genres of music including Gospel and indicated that her musical journey started in junior high school.
Naja’s biggest hope is to see her songs transcend the shores of Ghana when she was interviewed by Ghanaian blogger, Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku on Unlimited Chat with K.O.K where she revealed she wants to reach the future with great efforts and high hopes.
She bagged a one-year recording deal with Alpha Omega Media Group, GHC80,000 worth of promotional airtime with Multimedia Group and a cash prize of GHC10,000 given by Ghanaian entrepreneur and Afrobeat Superstar, Luminary DMR, who is known for his hit songs, Agyeiwaa and Bobobo.
