Ghana’s own DJ Mynor official DJ for music duo R2Bees has taken the music industry by storm as he became the first Ghanaian in history to have his Mixtape Compilation debut on the Billboard Charts.
Born, Offei Jeffery Moses and also known as Apaawahene, DJ Mynor also becomes one of the first-ever DJs to achieve this milestone in the whole of Africa thus signifying another great win for Ghana music.
Speaking on this achievement, DJ Mynor said he is most grateful to God for this feat. “It took me by surprise but I also believed in the work I put out there, I’ve been doing this for over a decade and I am grateful to my fans. They keep me going and motivated to churn out most mixtapes.”
“I would like to acknowledge all our Afrobeats acts on the continent for their commitment to quality music, as DJs we shall continue to project their work for the world to see. This is a win for Ghana and a big win for all DJs on the continent.” He added
The Multiple award-winning DJ recently chalked another feat when he was crowned DJ OF THE YEAR at this year’s AWEMA (African Wedding Makers Awards).
At this point one can only assume that the sky remains the limit for DJ Mynor, as he once again demonstrates that hard work, consistency and patience always breed success irrespective of one’s profession.
