Ghana is set to make history by joining the illustrious list (United Arab Emirates, Australia, Asia, Europe, and America) and kicking off its first New Year’s celebrations with a lavish show broadcast around the world.
The famous Black Star Square’s Black Star Gate and Arch will serve as the backdrop for the breathtaking sky-lighting show.
Akua Kufuor, the founder of AKvance and Countdown Africa, remarked, “This is about taking Africa to the world stage of celebrations. What better time to showcase our presence to the world, than from the centre of the world.”
20,000 people are expected to attend, including both national and local celebrities, and there will be a surprise performance that evening.
An excited Mees Van Ojik, Country Manager for KLM said; “We are thrilled to be the first Official Travel Partners to Countdown Africa and look forward to bringing everyone from everywhere to this historic event.”
This festival will also promote one of the nation’s main goals, which is to increase tourism and create more opportunities for business and investment.
