Nigerian Actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde discloses her time of struggles joining the Nigerian movie industry at an early age.
The celebrated actress revealed this in an interview with Doreen Avio at the “Women of Valour” event.
She further stress that it was more of hell for her to even get transportation fare for an audition at that younger age of her which she will never forget.
“It was even unheard of. I went through a lot of beatings from my mum. She didn’t want me to go into entertainment and certainly not act. So, I had to struggle. It was a lot of struggles, times when I was not supported, not given transport fare to go to the audition,” the actress explained.
Omotola believed she could become a star during her time of struggles that’s why she never gave up and so she advised the youth who are building up something for themselves not to give up but hold on tight and believe in whatever career they have chosen for themselves.
The ‘Women of Valour’ event, which was put together by Nana Aba Anamoah is a program aimed at bringing together strong, courageous women to share their stories of triumph, loss, and everything in between.
