Introduce New Faces In Your Movies – Michelle Attoh To Movie Producers

Ghanaian Actress and media personality Michelle Attoh has stress on the continues use of old cast in movies does degrade the face of the Ghanaian movie industry.

Setting Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood) as an example, the actress postulated that the use of new faces in movies will help build out a better structure for in the movie space and also brings a different quality and feel from what movie lovers have been used to over the years.

Michelle, in an interview with Graphic Showbiz said, “I’m very certain if we believe in the skills of new talents and offer them roles, they will create fresh energy that will match what people are looking for. There is a saying that ‘variety is the spice of life’.

She also said that giving the young once the chance to show case their hiding talents helps development a new idea about the movie industry.

“It all comes down to us creating space for new acts to show their worth. From experience, I have personally encountered a waakye seller who claimed to be camera shy but when I insisted, she delivered beyond expectation” She said.

In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the movie diva said,  “When movie directors and producers task themselves, they will find overwhelming talents who fit the roles they have been using the same old faces for. There is a pool of talents out there to be discovered.”

 

Whiles advising the movie producers to stand up for their works and cast new faces in their movie, the actress encourage the new up and coming actors and actresses to believe to believe in their talents and do the best of it.

“Also, the new talents should be bold to accept challenging roles and not feel they don’t qualify but rather some others do. Many of these newly discovered talents have not come into the spotlight because they are either too shy or occasionally believe the moment or opportunity is not right for them and that certain roles should be given to the veteran actors,’’ she said
