Nigerian comedian and actor, Bright Okpocha widely known as Basketmouth disclosed his intentions of quitting comedy in the next five years to come.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM Daybreak morning show earlier this morning stated that together with his team has decided to stop comedy soon.
“In the past six years I have just been floating then last year I told myself and my team that you know what I’m coming to comedy and I’m gonna do five years and am quiting, Yh I’m quitting in five years I have got five more years to go and I’m done”.
Andy Dosty further throw a challenge to him asking if he can really quit and here is what he said again.
“I can, so there is a plan the way I plan my life, I’m like when you get to 50 you will drop the mic , yh I will still be cracking jokes definitely but it is not going to be like a professional thing so if you see me doing a gig maybe it’s probono but I will not charge anybody from performing”, he said

He also mentioned that he has never been able to create a classic joke like “Two things Involved” saying it was a blessing and can never create it until he feels the blessings.
