“I Got Threats For Releasing “Wahala Dey” – Epixode Reveals

Ghanaian Reggae dancehall recording artist Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo, widely known as Epixode Reveals what he has to go through after releasing his “Wahala Dey” song, a song that he addresses the bad state of the country’s economy and the kind of leadership that has seen corruption as a way of making money through the citizens pocket without exhibiting their promises.

 

The “Atia” hitmaker on Hitz FM Daybreak morning show with Andy Dosty disclosed the number of text messages he has received from government officials threatening him not to ever perform that particular song anywhere.

“I got threats for releasing ‘Wahala Dey’. The song addresses the ills in the Ghanaian government”, He said.

Epixode started that the was a time when one government official has to come and stop him and his Dj when he was performing a song at an event he invited.

“I remember performing ‘Wahala Dey’ at an event where government officials were present and my DJ was ordered to stop playing the song”.

Epixode has released another smashing highlife song dubbed “Obra” which he’s currently promoting.
