Media Foundation For West Africa Trains 70 Journalist In And Liberia

Media Foundation For West Africa (MFWA) in collaboration with Center for Media Studies and Peace Building, trained 70 female journalists in Ghana and Liberia.

 

The journalists received digital literacy skills to stay safe online and on how to AI tools to improve their journalism work.

The training workshops, held with funding support from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Ghana, took the journalists through, Introduction to Digital Rights and Women’s Rights Online Issues, Social Media & Online Privacy, Identifying & Dealing with Online Abuses Against Women.

Participants were also trained on how to use AI tools such as CHAT GPT, Jasper, GoogleStudio and Newswhip to facilitate their journalism work.

A similar training will be held in Sierra Leone in June.
