Israel Maweta shares new single “Dormelevo”

About Israel Maweta:
Israel Maweta is a Veteran African Traditional Musician who straddles through varied African sounds
spanning a career over 2 decades. He has explored different genres over the period from Afrobeats,
Borborbor, Agbadza, Kinka, Gospel, Reggae, Appellations (Spoken Word), Zibo, Asafo Music, Zigi, just
to name a few.
Israel holds a very enviable catalogue with his career which counts at least 20 Albums. As an
Evangelist of The Gospel, he is more aligned with the Christian faith but steps beyond the religious
boundaries to exploit his musical talent across varied circles within the African Traditional Music he is
also equally identified with.
His Albums are widely known within Ghana and West Africa, especially among the francophone
countries like Togo, Ivory Coast, Benin, and Burkina Faso.
From the days of analogue (selling of cassettes to diskettes to CDs and Flash Drives), Israel Maweta
has been consistent with his journey and still holds a very solid cult following with his fan base
spread across Africa and the Diaspora, and across all ages including the millennials.
