Sankofa Kente US Tour

Koby Maxwell Production, an entertainment company based in Maryland, would this year be hosting an event dubbed “Sankofa Kente US Tour” tailored to host music groups from Ghana. The event, scheduled to hits some selected states is targeted to attract lovers of African cultural folk in the States.

The organizers of the event stated that their performers would be cultural groups from Ghana and some local dance groups in the Sates. Asafoatse Cultural Whispers and Manklalo cultural groups from Ghana would be preforming to entertain audience. Below is the event calendar for the tour:

There will also be workshop aimed giving lessons on African drumming and dance. The workshop’s objective is to attract young folks and train them on some cultural drumming and dance like Adowa, kpanlogo and agbadza. Below is the schedule for the workshops:

In a statement, Maxwell Okwensy of Koby Maxwell Productions hinted that his organization’s goal is the breach the cultural gap between the United States and Africa. He further hinted that there wil be another cultural event to mark activities of the “2025 End of Year” event his company will host and entreat lovers of African culture to patronize these events.
