Afua Asantewaa opens up on spiritual challenges during sing-a-thon attempt

Afua Asantewaa

Afua Asantewaa, a well-known Ghanaian socialite and media personality, has discussed some of the difficulties she encountered while attempting to set a Guinness World Record. Afua Asantewaa revealed in a recent interview with media personality Afia Amankwaah Tamakloe that she was profoundly affected by negative social media comments regarding her event. She also admitted that she was spiritually unprepared when she attempted the sing-a-thon for the first time, and that she had significant spiritual difficulties.

The socialite explained that she was unable to overcome the spiritual obstacles despite making the necessary physical and spiritual preparations prior to making her first attempt in December 2023 at the Akwaaba Village in Accra. Comments on social media sites can occasionally have a significant impact. They affected me during my initial attempt. The difficulties were numerous and spiritual in nature. Physically, I exercised because everyone knew I was going to sing. However, I would say that I was spiritually weak on my first attempt. I fasted. We even invited a pastor to pray for us; however, the sing-a-thon battle is difficult. She stated, “I speak from experience.”

Afua Asantewaa, who recently went on a vacation to Canada with her husband, wondered why some bad people would try to spiritually sabotage her effort to set a Guinness World Record, especially since she wasn’t making any money from the event. She also said that her participation in the event cost her and her husband, Mr. Kofi Owusu Aduonum, a lot of money because they paid for the entire project.

She claims that she continued to suffer from unrelenting spiritual attacks, which led her and her husband to engage in intense fasting to avoid encountering additional difficulties during her second attempt in Kumasi. Her revelations come shortly after she completed her second sing-a-thon attempt, which lasted more than 120 hours and lasted for five days. She started the effort on December 21, 2024, and she finished it on Thursday, December 26, 2024.
