Ghanaian songstress Sista Afia has revealed that she has submitted nominations for four categories in this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
When asked which category she believes she deserves the most, even if she doesn’t win the others, Sista Afia confidently mentioned Best Female Vocalist of the Year. She explained that she has worked tirelessly over the year, emphasizing that no female artiste in the industry has put in more effort than she has.
This year, I put in a lot of effort, and I strongly believe I am deserving of the Best Female Vocalist award. No female artiste has put in more effort than I have,” she stated.
Sista Afia, known for her versatility in highlife and afrobeat music, has been active in the music industry this year. She has collaborated with several top artistes, including King Paluta, Amerado amongst others, and released hit songs in 2024. Her consistency in delivering quality music has earned her a strong fan base and industry recognition.
Meanwhile, TGMA is yet to officially announce the nominees for this year’s awards.
Speaking in a recent interview with DJ Slim on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, she disclosed that she has filed for Best Highlife Song, Best Highlife Artiste of the Year, Best Collaboration of the Year, and Best Female Vocalist of the Year.
