Mzbèl Fuses Traditional Dance in her Craft – DJ ASHMEN.COM

Mzbèl, Ghana’s favorite female artist has been churning hits and delivering fantastic performances. Although the artist has released several hits, her song 16 years still remain her biggest.

Many people tend to like music by listening severally, while others by watching the artist perform. Performances have therefore been instrumental in the total artistry of a musician. One thing promoters have pointed to influence their decision in choosing artists for their events is the stage craftsmanship of the artist. In this regard, artists have been challenged to be identified with unique showmanship to aid them stay relevant and on top.

Mzbèl has been known to mount any stage she’s invited to with dancers, which has been iconic of her stage performance. In recent times, the artist has been seen blending traditional Ghanaian dances with the latest dance people know. This has got people talking. Traditional dance like koanlogo, adowa and kete are usually performed by cultural groups like Wulomei, Kweikuma cultural group and others, the industry hasn’t witnessed it yet with a hiplife performance until recently when Mzbèl employed that.

Versatility being the hallmark of the songstress traces back to when her career begin somewhere 2002. Mzbèl, I’m her early days performed with female dancers, but for sometime now, the artist has added men to her dancers . Her stage craft with her dancers has been nothing but thrilling, and one is expected to see these talented performers outdoor new dances. In recent times, the 16 years hitmaker and her dancers are seen dancing traditional tribal dances in some of their performances. At an event held near Openia plaza few months ago, the artist and her dancers stormed the stage dressed in cultural outfit. This cultural infusion by Mzbèl in her craft is not only creative, but going a long way in preserving our culture.

To support the new Mzbèl people are witnessing , the artist pointed out that some part of her family are from the krobo tribe so she tries to pay tribute to her roots by outdoing their beautiful culture in her craft. This is why one must look out for what surprise plug she and her crew will pull at an event. She can show up as Beyoncé of America or appear as Shaka Zulu of the Zulus in South Africa.
