Music lovers in the United States and Canada are gearing up for a unique cultural and spiritual experience as organizers unveil the much anticipated Gospel-Cultural Afrofest, a groundbreaking event designed to blend gospel music with the rich traditional sounds of Africa.

Billed as a powerful fusion of faith and heritage, the event seeks to bridge the long-standing gap between religion and tradition by uniting the two genres on one stage. According to organizers, the concept is rooted in celebrating African identity while honouring gospel music’s spiritual influence, creating an inclusive atmosphere that welcomes both the young and old, Africans and multinational audiences alike.

The festival will feature an impressive lineup of performers. Headlining the event is renowned award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician Noble Nketsiah, known for his dynamic stage presence and deep-rooted African gospel compositions. Joining him from Ghana is the celebrated cultural troupe, Manklalo Cultural Group, whose traditional drumming, dance, and storytelling performances have earned acclaim both locally and internationally.

This marks a significant milestone for the Manklalo Cultural Group, especially following their performance in Dubai last year, further expanding their global footprint. The upcoming Afrofest is being described as a major boost to the group’s international exposure, positioning them prominently on the North American cultural stage.

Also performing is gospel singer Daisy Agyeman, who is a Ghanaian musician based in Canada, alongside the energetic Keteke Dance Ensemble, a North America-based ensemble celebrated for preserving and promoting African dance traditions across the diaspora.

The New York edition of the event will take place at Merkin Hall within the prestigious Kaufman Music Centre on April 18, 2026. A second show is scheduled for April 25, 2026, at the Langley Park Community Center in Maryland. Organizers have hinted that additional venues will be confirmed in the coming weeks, signaling broader outreach plans.

With its mission to harmonize gospel praise and African cultural rhythms, Gospel-Cultural Afrofest is poised to become a landmark celebration of unity through music — a festival where spirituality meets tradition, and where diverse communities gather under one rhythmic, uplifting experience.
