After taking her break from the music scene to rebuild herself for the journey ahead of her in her music career, Ghanaian female singer, Wendy Shay comes forth with the first single of her highly anticipated EP “Enigma” She calls this single ‘Heaven’.

The release is to build up momentum for her upcoming EP which she has been promoting in the last few weeks and is set to be dropped on Friday, November 11.

Wendy Shay is known for her hit songs Like Uber Driver, Kut It, Psalm 35, Shay On You, and many more including ‘Survivor’ which got people talking about why that song and the content in the song.

According to her, the song was inspired by a recent heartbreak she went through. ”My new song ‘Survivor’ is a broken heart song, it’s a personal song to me,” she said in a recent appearance on Glitch Africa.
Wendy Shay admits that love and heartbreak are universal and can happen to anyone including celebrities like herself.
“Broken heart is universal. It doesn’t know if you’re an artist, star or whatever. It can happen to a man, it can happen to a woman,” she added.
The Rufftown Records signee also revealed that the song was meant to tell her story and consequently empower other women who are going through abuse in their relationships.
“What really gingered this song was when I heard the death of the late Nigerian Gospel singer Osinachi. So I decided to do a song to empower women, especially those who are in abusive relationships,” she added.
Wendy Shay’s “Survivor” was released one month ago.
In the song, Ms Shay details how she went to lengths for her love interest who later left her after getting “a piece.”
